Alexander Acosta is an Industrial Engineer, specialized in marketing. He has a track record of more than 25 years in the financial sector in Consumer Banking, franchises of payment methods, data processing networks and data analytics services, with experience in Colombia, Peru and Panama.
In charge of leading the strategic projects of Telered, its business lines and subsidiary, Alexander brings invaluable experience in general management, marketing, products, digital channels, planning and control, financial, commercial and sales analysis, projects and innovation, developing skills for creation and implementation of new projects and products, penetration of segments, design of commercial portfolios and business strategies.
Alexander has been a Speaker in local and international forums with the Inter-American Development Bank, World Bank, Visa International and Felaban, on issues of bancarization, extension of financial services to the lower-income population, sustainable financial inclusion models. Additionally, he was in charge of the project “Bancarización estratos Bajos” selected by the World Bank – CGAP – Bill Gates Foundation.
Looking to share knowledge and experiences from his professional career, Alexander is a Professor of Strategic Planning, Digital Marketing and Business Model Creation. One of his great passions is developing and working with high performance teams in organizations.
Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services
Joaquín joins the Telered team to lead the Finance, Legal, Administration, Audit, Processes and Talent Management departments. More than 20 years of experience make Joaquín an important piece for the operation of Telered. In his work experience, important multinational technology and telecommunications companies stand out, where he held the positions of Regional Director of Finance, Vice President of Credits and Collections, General Director for Panama, among others, for Latin American markets, including Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.
Joaquín has an MBA and a Postgraduate Degree in Senior Management, both from the Universidad Latina de Panamá, programs that have helped him identify problems to provide innovative and agile solutions, strengthening relationships with his work team, suppliers and clients.
Vice President of Operations and Products
With more than 35 years of experience in the banking and payment processing services market, Ivan is a key member of Telered. In the more than 20 years of being part of the Telered family, Ivan has managed to lead and carry out important projects for the different products and services of the company, the most recent being the adoption of the ISO20022 messaging format for the ACH network. The excellent execution of this project gives way to the modernization of the compensation system in Panama, putting Panama one step closer to becoming a cashless city.
Ivan is a member of the Latin American Association of Electronic Funds and Information Transfer Networks (ATEFI) and of the Latin American Meeting of Clearing House Operators (ELOCC).
He is currently an advisor to the Payment Methods Commission of the Banking Association of Panama (ABP) and was part of the evaluation commission for the implementation of the Gross Settlement System in Real Time, as well as the commission that designed the standard of the check format used in Panama.
Vice President of Technology and Innovation
Pastor is a professional with extensive experience leading industry teams, both locally and internationally, with a track record of more than 25 years. In the banking sector, Pastor stood out as CIO in financial institutions and mass consumer companies, leading projects that allowed these companies to be one step closer to digital transformation in order to provide a high quality service to their clients.
Pastor is a graduate of la Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá with a degree in Systems Engineering. In his work, he has always been a faithful believer in training and continuous learning; Pastor has an MBA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Business Management and different courses in Leadership and Digital Transformation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Customer Experience Director
Michelle leads the Business area at Telered, which includes Marketing and Commercial Management. In both areas, and with the support of a great team of professionals, Michelle creates and implements strategic initiatives by publicizing Telered’s products and services to achieve greater bancarization in the Panamanian population, the appropriate use of them, and alliances with large companies, managing to offer interesting benefits for cardholders and account holders in the country.
With extensive international exposure, Michelle began her evolution in Marketing and Public Relations in Panama as a Senior Public Relations Executive at Burson-Marsteller, where she advised important accounts in the telecommunications, banking and mass consumption sectors, achieving loyalty to different key audiences for each company. Later, she ventured into the world of retail, being part of the Superior Retail Panama team, in charge of launching the Gap and Banana Republic stores in Panama, Colombia and Costa Rica, and the expansion of the Converse brand in more than 24 territories on the continent.
Michelle takes a leap into technology, leading Marketing areas for Panama, the Dominican Republic and Central America in the multinational KIO Networks and TECNASA. Among her achievements in this industry is the opening of new markets, the reinvention of the corporate brand and communication strategy at the regional level and the implementation of programs to humanize the technology industry.
