It is a transaction that allows you to send cash transfers, immediately, through ATMs to any part of the country, to be received by a person who does not necessarily have a Clave card.

Withdrawal of money without a card. The person who receives the Clave Giro does not need a Clave card or bank account. These transactions are fast, secure and without queuing. Plus, it saves time without the need to travel long distances.

What do you need to send a Clave Giro?

  • Ā To send money you must have a Clave card and a bank account in one of the financial institutions affiliated to the Clave Giro service.
  • You must send the Clave Giro through any ATM of one of the financial institutions affiliated to the Clave Giro service.
  • You need to have the cell phone number of the person who will receive the Clave Giro.
  • Once the transaction to send the Clave Giro has been completed, you must send the PIN number generated in the ATM receipt and, as a security measure, call the person who will receive the Clave Giro to dictate it to him/her so that he/she can enter it in the ATM to withdraw the money.

What do you need to withdraw a Clave Giro?

  • To receive the Clave Giro, you must have the SMS messaging service enabled on your cell phone, since, through a text message, you will receive the virtual card number with which you can withdraw money at any ATM of one of the financial institutions affiliated to the Clave Giro service.
  • At the ATM you must select the option “Transactions without card”.

IMPORTANT: If the beneficiary does not withdraw the Clave Giro, the amount sent will be returned to the account of the person who sent the money.

  • Do not write the PIN anywhere.
  • Memorize it. Do not tell anyone your secret number. No one is authorized to solicit you.
  • Do not allow anyone to watch when you are typing.
  • Do not accept help from strangers at any time.
  • Do not enter the PIN number in the ATM if it is out of service.
  • Ignore fraudulent messages asking you to enter your PIN number when the ATM is out of service.
  • Your PIN is your best protection against fraud.
